The North Carolina Football Club (NCFC) has officially announced that MAKO Medical Laboratories will be the back-of-jersey sponsor for the 2021 season.
The leading medical testing brand originally became a partner when the NCFC resumed playing in the 2020 season last year. Aside from taking a prime spot on the players’ jerseys, Chad Price’s company has also been the Official Medical Laboratory of the North Carolina Football Club, keeping the staff and team safe throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Over the last year, MAKO Medical Laboratories has conducted all coronavirus testing for both NCFC and NC Courage. The fight against the virus continues, but the safety of workers and athletes remains a top priority for NCFC. Fortunately, the dedicated team of experts at MAKO Medical Laboratories is committed to protecting these individuals’ well-being. With swift and efficient testing, the club has kept its team safe and healthy during the outbreak. “Thank you to MAKO for doing the testing that keeps our staff and players safe and healthy. They’ve helped us get back on the field in 2020, and now we are looking to the future of the season in 2021,” said John Bradford, the North Carolina Football Club Head Coach. “Special thanks to Fain Buete for all of her efforts from last year and going forward into this year.”“MAKO has exceeded our expectations from the start,” continued Nic Platter, the North Carolina Football Club Assistant General Manager. “They have been professional throughout this process, ensuring the safety of our staff and players on and off the field by providing quick and efficient results.” Led by well-known entrepreneur Chad Price, MAKO Medical Laboratories is a leading healthcare brand with two large testing facilities in Raleigh and Henderson. Since the COVID-19 outbreak began, the company has grown immensely and now boasts more than 1,000 staff members. Chad Price also extended one of the laboratory sites and effectively doubled the number of tests the company can conduct overnight. This level of speed and efficiency helped protect the NCFC and NC Courage staff members. The continued back-of-jersey sponsorship between MAKO Medical Laboratories and NCFC is a homage to their ongoing professional partnership. The recognizable MAKO branding will be on the back of the players’ jerseys in upcoming games as we move into the 2021 soccer season. NCFC is in the USL League One, the third tier of the United States Soccer League System. Established in 2006, the team played their first game the following year at the then-SAS Soccer Park. The team debuted as the Carolina RailHawks, but have since adopted an entirely new brand. Now a well-known favorite of the league, NCFC is one of the sport’s rising stars. Over the last decade, the team has beat the LA Galaxy three times as part of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. In addition, NCFC hosted the first English Premier League team visit to the Triangle in 2016. MAKO Medical Laboratories is also dedicated to supporting the community and sporting events in the area. Chad Price’s company recently sponsored the MAKO Medical Sk8te Raleigh. The event was the City of Oaks’ largest ever indoor roller rink and took place at the Raleigh Convention Center. In the seven years since the business launched, it has sponsored a wealth of similar events.
